My Begining

Been a busy girl this week. Mostly hangin out with people. Saw Star Wars on friday night. It was very good, certainly did not disappoint. Of course, I don't think it can compare to the origional trilogy, but it definantly comes close. My major qualms with the movie was the over use of CGI. I mean, there are plenty of things that could have been done using real props and people. This is something hollywood (and Geroge Lucas in particular) doesn't seem to realize. CGI is overratted, and is most effective when used sparingly. I also took issue with some of the dialogue ("you're breaking my heart"?! come on...show it don't say it, that's the first thing we learned in screenwriting). And of course, some of Hayden Christenson's acting could use help, but it actually was probably his best performance. Anyway, it was a good flick, and i had fun.

Life has been interesting. I'm very glad to be home.
